Well, it's time for another Holiday season.  In just 3 weeks we are off to the east coast to see The Briggs clan for a festive Christmas and New Years.  Andrew and Nathaniel can't wait, they are counting the days.  It will be nice to go on vacation since I have taken the Lactation Specialist job, I really haven't had a day off, I usually have to go in for at least a couple of hours on the days I'm not working as a nurse. So 3 weeks off sounds like heaven to me.  I am sad that Thomas and Britnie and the grand kids won't get to come.  It's too bad things have just been hard for them this year.   Anyways more later I hope.

Well it sure has been a long time again, I'm really not cut out for this blogging thing.  I can't even keep a journal.

I have now 2 beautiful grandchildren.  Brianna who will be 3 soon and her new brother Aiden who will be 5.5 months.  I love them so much, They have just moved in with me and It has been an adjustment.   It isn't too bad, much better than the last time they lived with us.  I just hope that Thomas will find a better job, so they can make it.  I'm getting so excited for the class reunion, I wish I looked better.  We all can't keep the girlish figures we once had.   Besides its not in the genetics, I'm an Engle girl.  We all have issues now, no matter if we starve to death.  Anyways, I'm comfortable with myself and my husband loves me anyway I am.  That is all that maters to me.  I have a beautiful family.

what a year.

Well it's July again, just a year later. I'm terrible at this blog thing, however a lot has happened so I will fill you in. Thomas moved out last August, and they struggled a bit, but then he landed a job with a company called PRECORP. He is working as a machinist, they make diamond drill bits that are used on commercial airplanes. Anyways he got that job in October and worked full time, went to MATC from 0730 am to 1030 am then to high school until 2:30pm then went to work from 3:30pm to 12:30 am. He was quite busy and stuck with it. He graduated from MATC May 20, 2011 and High school May 23, 2011. It was awesome. I'm so proud of him. He and Britnie also decided to get married and did on January 15, 2011. Diane did the cake and once again was a knock out. She does a wonderful job, and was very kind to do it for cost since they had no money. Brianna is almost 2 now and adorable, you just have to love her. She has now started saying Grandma and Poppa, so perfectly. She loves to come to our house and play with her 2 uncles. Anyways at Easter time we decided to try our hand at raising baby chicks. We were quite successful and had 7 hens and 1 rooster. Nathaniel has become our chicken cowboy, he is terrrific at catching a rogue chicken when they are out of the cage.
I said that we had 7 hens, that is until Nathaniel helped one go to heaven. He didn't mean to. One afternoon, I look out in the yard and see Nathaniel with this small blue cooler he takes it into the chicken pen and sets it down and sits on it. I thought it was kind of cute, and he left it there when it started to rain. 3 of 4 days later the chickens were again out and we put them back, but I only count 6 hens and 1 rooster. I said oh no we are missing a chicken. Nathaniel pipes up, mom my black chicken in the cooler. You know I was dreading openning that cooler. I opened it up and there was poop everywhere, that poor chicken had died a horrible death. Nathaniel was upset and crying that his chicken was dead. He told me I just wanted to take it with us to the cabin. So now he is a chicken killer too! Kids are so much fun, your life will never be dull if you have children.

July What a Month!!!

Well, life is always throwing curves. We have had a very busy July so far. I got the opportunity to trade some days with a lady and work and managed to get July 4th weekend off. It was great we packed up the van and went to the cabin. We didn't know if we would be in the cabin or not, because a lot of people were supposed be going. We packed the tent just in case, but we lucked out, there was plenty of room because Beth and her group brought their deluxe motor homes. We had a great time. We went fishing and Andrew caught his first fish. I love being together with the family and the cabin is wonderful. Scofield is beautiful and usually good weather.

This last week my girlfriend Becka got a placental tear and spent 4 days in the hospital, it was a bit scary, she is doing ok now. However teenagers always pick the worst times to be little shits. Her 17.5 year old got caught sleeping with her boyfriend in her bed, and in the event of being punished for that poor choice it was discovered she is doing drugs. What a nightmare for my friend. I want to cry with her and at the sametime shout for joy that Thomas isn't a drug user! Besides I got a beautiful Granddaughter out of his poor choices.

Will be going to the cabin this week then our game group is going the last weekend in July. I can't wait it is going to be a blast. I'll blog more later!

Well Memorial day is here again, and I'm working. I don't think I have had it off in a very long time. Memorial Day always brings back a rush of feelings as I remember my Brother Parry who died in a watersport accident on this weekend. It exspecially did this year due to the fact that one of my good friends lost her Dad unexpectally in a accident last week. Life is so amazingly short, I can't believe that we waste so much of it doing trivial things. It also gets me to think about Lyle Anderson, and how much I really do miss him. It was so hard to imagine a life without him in it when he passed away, but here I am doing it, but he still continues to be in my heart and mind often. I do truely miss him.
This time of year is also a happy time for many as they are graduating and starting out on their adult lives. We also had the opportunity to go and see my Nephew Josh graduate from high school. He graduated from Kemmemer High school in Wyoming. It was a great graduation program, with a teacher who talked about the tools needed for a long happy life. She gave each of the Graduates a black fabric bag with items that represented the tools they would need to be happy. I really liked her symbols. Some of them was love of who you are, pride in what you do, like doing a good job because you take pride in the job you do, exercise to stay healthy. Stuff like that. Anyways I kind of chuckled too because his graduating class was 36 students. Thats like 1 classroom in any of the local schools here!!! Wow talk about knowing everyone in the school. Afterwards we went to Kay's house and had a great feast and the boys tried out her hot tub. Thanks Kay it was lots of fun and your new house is fabulous. Someday I hope to get a house custom made too.

Summer time

I love summer, it is so much fun to let the kids go out in the yard and play in the water. Or to see them jump on the tramp. I love seeing the graden actually grow even though I planted it. I love it when we go camping and get together as families for a round of paintball wars. I hate going to work because I feel like I'm missing out on what the kids are doing. I'm looking at the calander today and realized summer is almost gone and we are over half the way to christmas. I guess I better get saving some money!!!
